Privacy Policy

This document represents an active operational draft of our privacy policy. Official legal data controller details are pending final formal registration. Technical and organizational measures are maintained by the PetMama.md team (hello@petmama.md).

1. What Data We Collect

We collect only the strictly necessary minimum of information:

• — Owner account: name, email address, contact phone, encrypted password hash.
• — Pet profile: name, species, breed, birth date, microchip number, distinctive marks, medical notes, and photos.
• — Finder emergency reports: finder message, voluntary contact phone, and voluntarily submitted geolocation coordinates.

2. Geolocation and Scanning Principles

Opening an NFC tag or scanning a QR code on its own NEVER requests or records finder coordinates silently.

Geolocation is requested exclusively after an explicit click on the "Send coordinates" button in the emergency form. The finder can decline without losing the ability to call the owner directly.

3. Public Profiles and Archive Mode

A published profile displays emergency phone numbers. The owner can switch the profile to Archive Mode at any time, which completely conceals phone numbers and address from the public view and HTML source.

Public pet profiles contain a noindex directive and are excluded from the public sitemap.

4. Data Retention and Erasure

Finder reports older than 30 days and detailed audit change history older than 12 months are automatically purged on a routine schedule.

Upon confirmed deletion of a profile or user account, personal data and associated photo files are permanently erased.

5. Data Subject Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, export, and delete your data. Requests are accepted at: hello@petmama.md.
